Chemical properties

Corrosion resistance: Containing 0.90% ~ 1.20% chromium (Cr), chromium can form a dense oxide film on the surface of the steel, which can prevent oxygen.

Oxidation resistance: The presence of chromium can significantly improve the oxidation resistance of 42CrMo flat steel, in a high temperature environment, can slow down the reaction rate of steel and oxygen, the formation of chromium oxide film can prevent the internal metal from continuing to be oxidized, so that the steel can still maintain good performance at higher temperatures, improve its service life in a high temperature environment.
